{"id":2076,"date":"2026-06-02T07:55:02","date_gmt":"2026-06-02T07:55:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/teioceramics.com\/?page_id=2076"},"modified":"2026-06-02T07:58:35","modified_gmt":"2026-06-02T07:58:35","slug":"journey","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/teioceramics.com\/index.php\/journey\/","title":{"rendered":"journey"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h1><b>Journey &amp; Inspiration<\/b><\/h1>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">My artistic language has been shaped by movement, travel, and cultural encounters.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In <\/span><b>2018<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, I traveled to <\/span><b>South India<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, where I attended masterclasses in handbuilding techniques\u2014an experience that deepened my connection to clay as a tactile and intuitive medium.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In <\/span><b>2019<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, I continued this journey in <\/span><b>B\u00e1t Tr\u00e0ng, Vietnam<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, learning traditional methods of <\/span><b>molding and firing<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> rooted in centuries of craftsmanship.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In <\/span><b>2020<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, I was in <\/span><b>Morocco<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, in <\/span><b>Fes and Rabat<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, where I studied <\/span><b>ceramic tile production and painting techniques<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2014discovering a new relationship with ornament, rhythm, and surface.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In <\/span><b>2023<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, I attended <\/span><b>flower modeling masterclasses in Milan<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and later, in <\/span><b>2025<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, I deepened my knowledge in <\/span><b>tile painting in Lisbon, Portugal<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">My inspiration comes from:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Nature and botanical forms<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Ancient traditions and rituals<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Places I travel and cultures I experience<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I often travel to <\/span><b>Rajasthan, India<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, where I personally select <\/span><b>semi-precious stones<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which I later integrate into my ceramic works\u2014cups, boards, and objects with a subtle <\/span><b>jewelry-like character<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This combination has become a signature element of my work\u2014<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a dialogue between <\/span><b>Georgia in the clay<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>India in the stones<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space]<a class=\"image-link \" href=\"https:\/\/teioceramics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/IMG-20250312-WA0098-scaled.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/teioceramics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/IMG-20250312-WA0098-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"popup image\" \/><\/a>[vc_empty_space][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;] Journey &amp; Inspiration [\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]My artistic language has been shaped by movement, travel, and cultural encounters.
